The Farmhouse
This is our lovingly renovated 3 bedroom traditional farmhouse. It is full of French character with large fireplaces and sandstone floors, yet has all the modern comforts you would expect in a well-equipped home.

Ground floor
Entering the farmhouse from the private patio area you will find a large, open plan, well equipped and modern kitchen, complete with farmhouse table and chairs for 8, perfect for cooking a gourmet meal using all those wonderful ingredients found in the local markets. This space is also home to a large charentaise fireplace with log burner and comfy sofa.
The large separate sitting room (with Freesat TV, DVD player and extensive DVD library) has another traditional charentaise fireplace with log burner; a cool calm place to escape from it all.
Finally there is the downstairs family bathroom and utility cupboard.
For your peace of mind with small children, there are removable stairgates at the top and bottom of the stairs and, for the single steps between the rooms, we have an additional stair gate if required.
Although the farmhouse, with its thick stone walls, remains cool during the day there is air conditioning in the two main rooms downstairs should you need it.
First floor
On the first floor are three bedrooms off a large landing/play area.
On the landing you will find a large selection of toys and games for all ages of children and adults alike; no worries about keeping those small people entertained.
Bedroom 1 with an ensuite shower room, has a king size bed and lovely views over the farmland and private garden.
Bedroom 2 has traditional exposed stonework and beams. It can be set up as a king size double or twin.
Bedroom 3 is a spacious bedroom with exposed stonework and velux windows in the beamed ceiling. To allow for maximum flexibility, depending on the size of your group, this room can be set up in various formats: as a twin with two standard size singles or triple with the addition of a child’s bed.
All the bedrooms are large enough to accommodate one of the two cots available and have shutters or blinds to avoid the early morning light and midday heat.
Bed linen, bath towels and swimming towels are provided for your stay. Linen is changed each Friday if staying for longer than one week. All beds have duvets and mattress protectors.
The windows all have fly screens fitted and standing fans for the hotter nights.
